The Christian life is not meant to be lived alone. The Avenue Church worships together each Sunday morning. We believe its important to meet together each week for prayer, Biblical teaching, musical worship and community.
What is Worship Service Like?
Our worship services typically involve a time of saying “hello” to one another, singing, preaching and prayer. On occasional weeks, we have communion, prayer stations, and a variety of other ways to creatively worship.
Preaching at The Avenue
Each week, a member from our preaching team delivers a Gospel centered teaching from scripture. We teach from the English Standard Version (ESV) of the Bible. Each message delivers Biblical truth full of practical application.

The Avenue Worship Band
Our church’s music is led by a team of musicians and singers at The Avenue. From acoustic sets to sets with a full band, our Avenue Worship Band leads us in singing worship songs each week. We typically sing both well-known worship songs, as well as original songs written by band members. We project the lyrics on a screen so that everyone can sing along.

Prayer Team at The Avenue
Each week after service, a prayer team is available for anyone who would like someone to pray for them. Just look for a man and a woman with a “Prayer Team” badge.
What Should I Wear to Church?
At The Avenue Church, we dress in casual attire. This is to create a welcoming environment to anyone interested in joining us for worship service.
How do I find The Avenue Church on Sundays?
As a mobile church, we currently meet at the Hilton Garden Inn, located in Independence, Missouri on Sunday mornings. We’re located in the conference center area, between the Hereford House and the main hotel lobby. As you drive up to the Hilton, look for The Avenue’s large signs. We recommend entering through the doors near the Hereford House. Once you’re in the building, you’ll see our signs and banners pointing the way.
Sundays we’re not at the Hilton Garden Inn, Independence, MO
Because we are mobile, we occasionally do church non-traditionally on Sunday mornings. We occasionally host baptisms, House Worship, Mission: Ignition, and potlucks in locations other than the Hilton Garden Inn on Sunday mornings.
