We believe the Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, infallible, and has authority in all matters of faith and life.
We believe there is one living God existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, eternally coexistent and equal in deity power and glory.
God The Father
God, The Father, is infinite, holy, wise, powerful, and loving. He is infallible and is sovereign in all that shall come to pass. He involves Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who submit to Him through Jesus Christ
He is God’s only Son who was conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth and sinless life. We believe in His substitutionary death and bodily resurrection in order to reveal God and redeem sinful man. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He intercedes for His people and His imminent return to earth.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit came from the Father and Son to convict the world of its sin, righteousness, and judgment; regenerating sinful humanity and indwelling, sealing, and empowering Christ’s followers.
Depravity of Humanity
We believe humanity was created by God in His own image, but due to Adam’s sin all have inherited a sinful nature and the result is separation from a holy God, totally depraved and incapable of any remedy of its lost condition.
Salvation is the gift of God to humanity in its lost condition to receive grace through personal faith in Jesus Christ and His substitutionary death on the cross for the forgiveness of sins.
The church “universal” and composed of all Christ’s followers for all time. The “local” church, consisting of believers of Jesus Christ who have been baptized for a genuine profession of faith in Christ, assembles for: worship; prayer; the fellowship of Christians; the observation of the sacraments; and the teaching of God’s Word.
Transformation In Christ
A Christ follower should live for the glory of God through the transformation of his or her heart, mind, community, and mission. As a servant to our fellow man, we should pursue conduct which exemplifies the character of God, be a faithful steward of what God has given us, and daily seek grow in Christ.
Jesus Christ commissioned two ordinances for the local church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper (communion). We believe baptism is a step of obedience to publically proclaim faith, taken by one after they have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord. The Lord’s Supper was instituted by Christ for the remembrance of His death. These two ordinances should be observed until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Last Things
We believe in the visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom, and the bodily resurrection of those who are followers of Christ. There will be a final judgment which will lead to the eternal joy of the righteous in Christ and the endless suffering of the wicked that are apart from Christ.

Final Authority for Matters of Belief and Conduct
The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
For purposes of The Avenue’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our eldership shape the Avenue’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
