Our membership process is called "The Gospel Class"
The Gospel Class is our step to membership at The Avenue Church. Anyone desiring to make it “official” and join with us on mission and community can go through our Gospel Class.
What is Covered in our Gospel Class?
Our Gospel Class covers foundational topics of the Christan faith such as The Bible, sin, salvation and more. We also cover our vision as a missional church, stewardship and our church’s structure.
The Gospel Class is an 8-week class we ask every individual desiring membership at The Avenue to attend. It allows us to ensure each member of The Avenue Church has a basic understanding of our statement of beliefs, and an in-depth view to The Avenue and our ministry.
Why Church Membership?
Church membership is simply the best way to lay a common foundation for all of us who are on a joint mission together. We have seen and experienced that God uses those who are unified and banded together in Biblical community.
By creating “membership” at The Avenue, it is not our heart to control or pin down those who are members, but to unify around a same heart and mission in loving, grace-filled accountability with one another.
