Baptisms at The Avenue represent transformed lives, and evidence of God’s work! We host a baptism service a few times each year for those who would like to make a public profession of faith. We baptize by immersion, which means we dunk individuals in the water to represent the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, as shown to us in Scripture. We believe that baptism is a post-salvation practice, and an act of obedience once a relationship with Christ has begun.
Where are The Avenue’s Baptisms?
As a mobile church, we must be creative when it comes to baptism Sundays. In cooler months, we typically rent an aquatic facility that allows for us to host a worship service and baptisms. In the summer months, we meet at a city park and baptize in the lake.
How Can I be Baptized?
The first step to being baptized at The Avenue is to show your interest! If you’ve recently come to know Jesus, or have known Him yet never been baptized, please email us! We’d love to know that you’re interested in baptism!
Once we hear from you, we ask about your story, and how you came to know Jesus. Sometimes this is a recent story; other times it’s from years ago. We meet with you to not only get to know you better, but to know your testimony. After we’ve met, we’ll notify you as soon as a baptism service is scheduled.
